Works of art at Católica

Art and culture are part of everyday life on campus. Get to know the various public works of art at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa through the Católica Artworks Collection videos. Discover pieces like "Os Livros", two low relief pieces by Emília Nadal, or "Pomba", by Bordalo II, a sculpture that reuses garbage and waste to send a message about the environment.

On-Campus Concerts

Throughout the year, the University organises several musical performances, such as concerts in the garden and Christmas concerts. The whole academic community can participate in these moments, whether watching or performing.

Artistic Residencies

Arts Laboratory - programme of artistic residencies

Presented as a transdisciplinary research platform that annually brings together an artist or cultural agent and researchers from CECC, the Arts Laboratory. Programme of artistic residencies for research is the result of a partnership between CECC, the Lisbon Consortium and Cultura@Católica.

Artistic Residencies at the School of Arts

The Artistic Residencies program at the School of Arts consists in a period of residency at the School for developing research and artistic work in the fields of visual arts, cinema, new media art, and sound. These Residencies are part of the philosophy of the School as an “art center”, in which ongoing activities will foster knowledge and contemporary creation. They also support the different artistic Bachelor, Master and PhD that the School offers, putting the artists in interactions with students in a creative environment of mutual contamination.
