Example of how to calculate the application score

For a degree in which the entrance examinations are Portuguese and History:

  1. Applicant A obtained a final mark of 130 in secondary education, 150 in the national examination of the subject of Portuguese and 120 in the national examination of the subject of History.
  2. To obtain the application score, the scores are multiplied by their respective weight, i.e:
       130x0,6 (130=60%);
       150x0,2 (150=20%);
       120x0,2 (120=20%),
       which amounts, respectively, to 78 | 30 | 24.
  3. By adding these results we get the application score: 78 + 30 + 24 = 132.

For Cinema, Sound and Image, International Undergraduate Programs, and Medicine the calculation is as follows:

  • Final classification of the secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification: 50%
  • Classification of the entrance examinations: 35%
  • Classification of the prerequisite: 15%.
