Culture in the city
Porto is the second largest city in Portugal. Since 1996, its historic centre is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A city with historical monuments, centennial bridges, parks, and the magnificent Douro River. The city and its surroundings boast a vast cultural agenda, which includes events such as Fantasporto (Porto International Film Festival), NOS Primavera Sound and the MEO Marés Vivas Festival.
